VMWare VIEW
This summer the Technology Department began a project to implement a new application called VMWare View. VMWare View will allow staff to access a full workstation, applications, documents and desktop, from any computer or mobile device with internet access.
View unlike the old CITRIX runs from a software application installed on your computer or iPad. This software unlike the CITRIX plugin will allow you to remote into a full workstation, giving you access equal to that of being right at your desk at the school. This requires users though to run the application, and not a plugin from a website like CITRIX. View works on the Windows, Apple, and iPad platforms. Currently there are no Android apps, but there will hopefully be one developed and released soon for users of the Droid tablet devices.
Please see the below instruction guides to assist you in installing the needed software and configuring it to work with our VMWare View installation. To learn more about VMWare View click here.
