The Monroe High School Varsity Girls Basketball team received Academic All-State Honors, ranking ninth in Class A in the State of Michigan with a team GPA of 3.794.
“We are very proud of these young women who truly are ‘scholar athletes,’” said MHS Principal Valerie Orr. “They were great players on the court, great students in the classroom and were fine representatives of Monroe High School at all times.”
Team members were: Cayla Frank, Hope Longenbarger, Somer Nocella, Alex Taylor, Mikayla Taylor, Taylor Thompson, Christine Tylutki, Victoria Vitale, Lindsey Zawacki, and Alexis Zuckerman. The team was coached by Larry Nocella.
