Monroe Public Schools' Food Service is operated by Sodexo Food Service and participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Careful planning insures your children one-third of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for all nutrients over a one-week period. It should be noted that portion sizes are based on an average child's nutritional requirements. Beyond meeting nutrient needs, Monroe's School Food Service has made a commitment to follow the U.S. Dietary Guidelines. One-half to two-thirds of many of our children's meals are provided at school. Monroe's School Food Service takes seriously its obligation to fortify your children with nutritional food so our youth have every opportunity to develop to the fullest extent of their capabilities. |
