Welcome!

Manor Elementary is a Young Five through 6th grade building and we are very proud to be in our fifth year as a Leader in Me school!  During this journey our students, families and staff have created a unique environment where leadership principles, practices, and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® are embedded into our school culture. The Leader in Me initiative defines our school operations, permeates instructional practice and curriculum, and is the basis of a vibrant leadership development approach for students, staff and families.

Our staff believes that all students are leaders.  We define leadership as intentionally seeking out ways to make a positive impact in the lives of others.    We also believe all students can make the choice to be a leader in their own unique fashion and that it is imperative that we guide them toward making that choice. Our staff is committed to helping all students choose to be leaders in a nurturing environment that provides them the necessary authentic learning and leadership opportunities, while identifying and cultivating their special gifts and talents.

Through our Leader in Me initiative Manor students develop creativity, strong problem-solving skills, perseverance and a knack for foresight. They thrive academically, become good listeners, are goal oriented, understand how to interact and collaborate with others in a positive way, and find joy in their present circumstances. We know that our students are the future inventors, designers, big-picture thinkers and meaning makers needed to make a valuable difference in our community, both today and in years to come.

What an honor it is for our staff to partner with our students’ families and our local community to prepare learners and leaders for the 21st century!

Always,

Emily Bundon
