For those considering AP Calculus AB or BC, there is a FAQ found at the very bottom of this page.
For those currently in Calculus, there are "assignments" if you hover over the link to this page - hover on "AP Calculus (AB & BC)" and you should see "handouts, homework, and notes." On that page there are assignments - several for solutions to selected homework problems from various years, one for the slides we will be going over in class, and one with all of the handouts for the year. Immediately below are websites that offer Calculus help specifically. The home page features links for general math help; some of those sites offer Calculus help as well.
“Calculus-Help.com”
“This website, founded in 1998, offers content for both advanced high school students and college calculus students. In addition to free multimedia tutorials, it continues to offer a practice problem just about every week that is answered in plain, everyday English the following week. It also hosts an annual calculus contest for high school students, and has all kinds of fun stuff to sift through. Our pledge is that Calculus-Help.com will always be free to all visitors and always be uncluttered by pop-up ads and obnoxious third-party advertising. Teachers and students feel free to use this web page however they like, as long as it’s for personal or class use.”
"Tutorials for the Calculus Phobe"
"Learning calculus is pretty tough, and you can forget about reading your textbook to get help. Understanding that enormous tome is just as plausible as whittling a canoe from a giant redwood tree. Welcome to your oasis of understanding. The tutorials that follow explain calculus audio-visually, and are the equivalent of a personal tutoring session. More than just boring lectures, the topics come alive with Flash animation."
“Paul’s Online Math Notes”
“The intent of this site is to provide a complete set of free online (and downloadable) notes and/or tutorials for classes that I teach at Lamar University. I've tried to write the notes/tutorials in such a way that they should be accessible to anyone wanting to learn the subject regardless of whether you are in my classes or not. In other words, they do not assume you've got any prior knowledge other than the standard set of prerequiste material needed for that class. In other words, it is assumed that you know Algebra and Trig prior to reading the Calculus I notes, know Calculus I prior to reading the Calculus II notes, etc. The assumptions about your background that I've made are given with each description below.”
“Visual Calculus”
“Originally, this collection was designed for instructors to give some ideas how technology, in particular, computers, can be used in the teaching of calculus. Detailed instructions on implementing these ideas with various public domain, shareware and commercial software packages are provided. The collection has been expanded to include tutorials, interactive modules (LiveMath, Java, and Javascript) which can be used by either students or faculty and includes detailed instructions for TI-85 and TI-86 graphing calculators. As an additional aid for students, modules containing quizzes and drill problems have also been added.”
